He served in the Israeli Air Force as a pilot for 10 years.
During his time in the Air Force, Rei experienced multiple near-death weather-related experiences - stoking a deep fascination with weather. He holds a BA in economics from Ben Gurion University with Master's degrees from both Harvard University John F Kennedy School of Government as well as MIT Sloan. Rei has been featured on CBS, Washington Post, Politico, Fortune, Forbes, is an advisor to a number of startups, and frequent speaker at global conferences. Since launching Tomorrow.io 5 years ago, Rei has helped lead the company to hypergrowth with customers including Uber, Ford, Delta, National Grid, the NFL and more, $200M+ through Series D funding, approaching 200 employees around the world, building proprietary satellites and launching them into space to transform weather forecasting as we know it, and starting TomorrowNow.org which is a non-profit bringing much needed weather forecasting technology to developing countries in Africa and beyond.
