Dwight Poler

Dwight spent 24 years at Bain Capital, including 18 years in London where he opened and managed Bain Capital’s European private equity business. He led Europe Funds I-IV, which invested over $10Bn of equity at market leading returns. In 2018, Dwight returned to the United States to focus on personal and philanthropic investing, and founded AccelR8, a fund investing to mitigate climate change. Previously, he worked at Bain & Company and Morgan Stanley. Education: BA, Amherst College; MBA, with distinction, Tuck School of Business (Dartmouth), as a Tuck Scholar. Advanced Leadership Initiative Fellow ‘19, Harvard University Boards: Dwight has served as Director, and often Chair, on a wide range of corporate and non-profit boards. Dwight currently serves as trustee of Amherst College and The Boston Foundation, the MIT MediaLab Advisory Council and Alta Advisers (Europe), among other investment companies. He is co-founder of the Private Equity Foundation (now called Impetus PEF), a social impact fund based in London.
